Yeye Folashade Shona honoured at OSRA Awards 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO),  DLA Toys and Amusement Park, Lagos and AVO Pizza Fabulous, Arepo, Ogun State, Chief (Mrs.) Yeye Folashade Shona, has been honoured with a prestigious Special Certificate and Plaque Awards at the 5th Edition of Oodua Special Recognition Awards, OSRA 2024, held at the Ojaja Arena, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
OSRA is one of the most prestigious Awards being sponsored by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, and Inter-Continental which honours great achievers particularly of Yoruba origin including captains of industries, philanthropists, community leaders, artistes and entrepreneurs who have had a meaningful impact on humanity.
Yeye Folashade Shona, known for her relentless commitment to uplifting others, was specially recognised for her impactful initiatives in women empowerment, education of indigent children, creation of job opportunities for teeming youths, and socio-economic development of the less-privileged in the society.
While receiving the Award from the Sooko Laekun of Ile-Ife, Chief Adegboyega Ogunwusi, Yeye Folashade Shona ,who was accompanied by her husband, who she fondly addressed as “Kabiyesi” said, the Award would spur her to contribute more to the Society.
She said, “I dedicate this award to all women    artisans in the country and worldwide for their support to economic development. Receiving an AWARD from my father, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, is truly humbling and I value it with assurance to do more in positive impact making.”
Yeye Shona who is the National Matron of the Association of Female Artisans Worldwide, (AOFAW), was flanked by family members, friends, associates and members of the Association from all the states in the Southwest, including the National President, Dr. Jumoke Aborode.
Other award recipients included popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, Nollywood actress, Mrs Jayeola Kuti and  traditional rulers among others.
Oba Ogunwusi in an audio-visual message to the event, who said he was unavoidably absent due to urgent national assignment, congratulated the award recipients for making the Yoruba race proud in their respective fields, stating that their contributions to the development of Yorubaland and Nigeria at large will not be forgotten.
