Workers’ Day : Alao felicitates Oyo workers
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao), has felicitated with workers in the state as they join their counterparts all over the world to commemorate Workers’ Day.
Alao in a statement he personally signed described workers as the main engine of any government, lauding them for their selfless dedication, sacrifices and hard work.
He noted that the invaluable contributions of workers to the growth and development of the state cannot be over emphasised, stating that
they should take pride in their contributions as a vital force in the growth of the state.
While recognizing the challenges and uncertainties that faced as a result of the economic downturn, Alao urged them to persevere and uphold diligence in discharging their duties with unwavering commitment.
He nevertheless called for improved working conditions , enhanced opportunities for professional growth and development for workers in the state, maintaining that a labourer deserves his/her wage as at when due.
According to him, “As we observe this special day, I pay tribute to the significant contributions of workers in our dear state in driving economic growth, fostering social stability, and shaping a brighter future for all.
“Your dedication and industrious spirit are instrumental to whatever success that the state has recorded. I want to assure them of my unwavering support and commitment to advocating for policies and initiatives that will promote their welfare and well-being at all times.”
