Tinubu appoints Bwala as Special Adviser, names three new DGs
President Bola Tinubu, Thursday appointed former spokesperson to the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Daniel Bwala, as Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House).
Tinubu in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, also named three others as Directors-General of key agencies.
The appointees are Olawale Olopade as the new Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Olopade brings extensive experience as a sports administrator. He previously served as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chaired the local organizing committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade, now leading the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, is a seasoned marketing communications expert and the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Adedokun previously held the position of Director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning at the bureau.
Daniel Bwala: Bwala is a lawyer and well-regarded public affairs analyst.
President Tinubu has urged the newly appointed officials to approach their roles with dedication, patriotism, and excellence.
