Oyo NASS caucus visits Ganduje, seeks unity

Members of the National Assembly from Oyo State, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday, visited the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

The Special Adviser on Media to Senator Sharafadeen Alli, Mr, Akeem Abas, who made the disclosure in a statement made available on Thursday in Ibadan, said the visit, according to the lawmakers, was aimed at rallying around the national leadership of the party in a bid to find solutions to the problems facing the party in the state.

The delegation included the three senators from the state, namely Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North), Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South) and Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central) and some of the House of Representatives members, among whom are Tajudeen Abisodun, Lateef Mohammed, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, Akeem Adeyemi, and Olafisoye Akinmoyede.

The lawmakers, while speaking, noted that the visit was part of their efforts to foster cohesion and promote unity among members of the party in the state.

Buhari, while speaking on behalf of his colleagues, stated that the visit became necessary to find ways to address the challenges facing the party in the state.

According to him, “This engagement is a significant step in the right direction, as it provided an opportunity for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas.

“The effort was a great step towards building a virile, stronger, and united APC in the state, noting that unity and cohesion among members are essential for party success and effectiveness.

“The delegation’s presence and engagement with the national leadership will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the party’s activities and overall progress.”
