Oyo NACJ commiserates with ex-CAN Chairman over mother’s death
The Nigeria Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ), Oyo State chapter, has commiserated with the former Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), in the state, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, over the demise of his mother.
The Association in a release on Sunday, by its Chairman, Lekan Shobo Shobowale and made available by the Publicity Secretary, Adeola Badru, described the death of the matriarch of the Akanmu as a huge loss.
It stated that it received the news of the death of Mama Abigail Elefunke Ajoke Ojoose Akanmu (Nee Kehinde) with mixed feelings, especially judging by the very old age of Mama she lived, stating however that it pains when one loses a mother.
The Association nevertheless congratulated the former CAN Chairman in the state and his other siblings for surviving their mother at a very ripe old age.
“We pray that God will comfort you and give you peace of mind and for the grace to bear this irreplaceable loss.
“May you also take solace in the word of God and the grace that stabilizes believers in such a time like this.
“May God help you to come out renewed and strong”, it stated.
