Oyo NACJ cheers Christians into New Year
The Oyo State chapter of the Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ), has warmly greeted Christians in the state and across the country as they welcome the New Year.
The association in a statement by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comrade Adeola Badru, on behalf of its Chairman, Comrade ‘Lekan Sobo Sobowale, emphasised the significance of unity and renewed faith among believers during this transformative season.
It urged Christians to come together, fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual support as they enter the new year.
The NACJ called for a renewed commitment to faith, encouraging believers to deepen their spiritual lives and actively engage in community service.
The association highlighted the need for Christians to be beacons of hope and love, particularly in a time marked by various adversities.
Addressing ongoing issues such as insecurity, economic hardship, and social injustice, the association urged Christians to take a firm stand for righteousness and advocate peace and equity in the society.
It expressed optimism that through collective efforts and strong faith, the challenges faced can be overcome.
The association further encouraged Christians to reflect on their personal and communal goals, emphasising the importance of prayer, fellowship, and outreach.
It however reiterated its commitment to promoting ethical journalism and ensuring that the voices of Christians are heard in the media landscape.
