Oyo govt assures of collaboration with federal agencies 

The Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG), Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, FAS FTWAS, has assured that the present administration in the state would continue to collaborate with the federal agencies in the state for accelerated development.

She gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the management staff of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Oyo State Command, at the SSG’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.

She said the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde has a soft spot for security agencies in the state, hinting that the governor believed that the government cannot achieve anything in the atmosphere of chaos.

Prof. Adeyemo added that the government that has intention to perform must take the issue of security and the security operatives very seriously.

She stated further that the present administration under the leadership of Governor Makinde has incorporated the Nigerian Correctional Service, Oyo State Command, into its Health insurance Scheme where the inmates would register in a hospital and whenever they are sick, the hospital will take care of their health under the scheme.

The SSG pointed out that when the inmates are in good health, they will be useful after they might have been corrected at the NCS.

The Commandant, Nigerian Correctional Service, Oyo State Command, Mr. Opadeji Ayoola, in his remarks, commended Governor Makinde-led administrationfor incorporating inmates to the state Health Insurance Scheme.
