Olivetians honour Oyo HOS, laud Makinde
A retired Permanent Secretary in the Oyo State Civil Service, Pastor David Olatunde, has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde, for appointing Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, mni, as the 24th Head of Service in the State.
He stated this during a reception programme organized in honour of the HOS, held at the Eleventh House, Jericho, Ibadan.
He described the appointment of the Head of Service as a round peg in a round hole, stating that she is always ready to move with the system.
Olatunde commended Governor Makinde for his magnanimity to appoint one of them (an Olivetian) as the number one civil servant in the Pacesetter State.
In his word of exhortation, Pastor Dotun Ajayi, enjoined the Head of Service, not to hold on desperately to what she did not struggle to get, while hinting that God will join her to succeed in her present position.
The Chairman, Planning Committee of the programme, Dr. Bisi Ayoola, in his welcome address, said Governor Makinde, has chosen the best and that the HOS would not disappoint in running the affairs of the state civil service.
The state Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, mni, in her response, appreciated the Olivetians who honoured her with a civic reception while commending Governor Makinde for giving her the opportunity to serve the state in that capacity.
Present at the event include the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun; Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Biodun Aikomo; Permanent Secretaries; captains of Industries; the state Accountant General, Mrs Kikelomo Adegoke; Directors and many others.
