Nothing impossible for God — Archbishop Aladekugbe
The Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese and Archbishop of Ibadan Province, Most Rev’d Williams Oluwarotimi Aladekugbe, has said there is nothing that can be compared to the power of God, stating that nobody can stop the progress of his or her fellow men and women.
The cleric according to a statement issued by Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, The Ibadan North Anglican Diocesan Communicator, said this during the sermon he delivered at the Cathedral of St Peter Aremo, Ibadan for new year thanksgiving service.
Quoting from the gospel of St. Matthew chapter 2:12, he said “And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod. they returned to their country by another route,” noting that King Herod wanted to kill Jesus Christ but God prevented it.
Further more, Archbishop Aladekugbe said the gifts of gold , incense and myrrh to Jesus Christ portrayed Him as king, priest ,and preservation of His dead body.
According to him, the lessons learned from the birth of Jesus Christ and gifts received thought us to give God our heart, time, devotion and honour Him in any situation we find ourselves, assuring
the congregation that God is in full control.
Th cleric also admonished the political leaders at all levels to reduce the pains, anger, hunger and insecurity of lives and property of the governed in the new year, praying for the leaders and the entire citizenry to serve Nigeria better and be each other’s keepers while wishing them happy and prosperous new year.
