Ladoja, Mogajis, others attend Oba Olakulehin’s coronation thanksgiving service
Former governor of Oyo State and Otun Olubadan, Senator Rasheed Ladoja; other members of the Olubadan-in-Council; President-General, Central Council of Ibadan Indegens (CCII), Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, and President of Ibadan Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori, were among eminent Nigerians that on Sunday, attended the thanksgiving service for the newly crowned Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
The service held at the Cathedral Church of St. Peters, Aremo, Ibadan was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life including traditional rulers, politicians and religious leaders.
The Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese, Rt. Reverend Oluwarotimi Aladekugbe, in his sermon, urged Oba Olakulehin to use his position to promote peace, unity and development in Ibadanland, praying for wisdom, guidance and strength for the new monarch as he begins his reign.
Oba Olakulehin, in his address, thanked God for the opportunity to serve as the Olubadan of Ibadanland and promised to work tirelessly for the progress and prosperity of his people.
He also expressed his gratitude to the people of Ibadanland for their support and cooperation during his coronation process.
The new Olubadan was accompanied to the service by his children and other members of the royal family.
The service featured hymns, prayers and thanksgiving as well as a special hymn in honor of the new monarch.
The thanksgiving service marked the end of the coronation activities of Oba Olakulehin who was crowned the 43th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
