IPMAN, Dangote reach agreement on direct petrol supply
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), on Monday, said it has reached an agreement with the Dangote refinery to lift fuel directly.
The IPMAN National President, Abubakar Garima, made the disclosure after a meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the association in Abuja on Monday.
He said the partnership will ensure steady and affordable supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, across the country.
The IPMAN boss said the association was able to secure the agreement after meeting with Aliko Dangote and his management team in Lagos.
According to him, “We’re pleased to announce that Dangote Refinery has agreed to supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail outlets.”
He further urged IPMAN members to support the Dangote refinery, citing backward integration benefits and positive impacts on Nigeria’s Foreign Exchange market.
Garima while speaking on fuel prices, expressed confidence that negotiations with Dangote refinery would yield lower rates.
