Ibadan Mogajis, heads of the various families of indigenes of Ibadanland, led by the Aare Egbe Mogaji, Asimiyu Ariori, on Thursday, paid obeisance to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, in fulfilment of the Ibadan tradition upon his nomination.
The Executive Committee of the Mogajis and others representing the five local government areas in Ibadan City with the visit continued the age long tradition of respect and obeisance to the recently nominated 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Mogaji Ariori while speaking during the visit on behalf of the Mogajis pledged their support to the monarch, praying for sound health and long life during his reign.
He also sought permission for the Mogajis to visit the Otun Balogun, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola in line with tradition, noting that same was done to Otun Olubadan, Senator Rasheed Ladoja, after their visit to the 42nd Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun, upon his nomination.
The Olubadan-designate in his remarks, granted the request of the Mogajis and appreciated them for the visit, praying that each one of them will fulfil his desire on the path to the Olubadan throne.
The younger brother to the monarch, Chief Osuolale Owolabi, on behalf of the Kaabiyesi and the Olakulehin family, then thanked the Mogajis for their pledge of support and obeisance to the Olubadan-designate.
