Hon Oyekola congratulates Aláàfin at 50
The lawmaker representing Atiba State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, has congratulated the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
The lawmaker who congratulated the revered monarch in a statement he personally made available to the Media, described him as an inspiring traditional ruler.
Hon. Oyekola maintained that Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade is being celebrated not only as a prominent monarch, but as a knowledgeable custodian of culture, symbol of unity and strength, as well as an advocate of peaceful co-existence in his domain and beyond.
“Kabiyesi, within the short time that you ascended the throne of your progenitors, your knowledge, leadership, wisdom, and selfless efforts to ensure more rapid development in our great Oyo Alaafin have rekindled our hope for the better. Without being immodest, your reign has been marked by prosperity and peace in the land” Hon Oyekola said.
The Oyo State House of Assembly Chief Whip described the paramount ruler as a monarch with distinction and compassion who is leading by example worthy of emulation.
While praying for longevity of life with quality health for the Alaafin of Oyo, Hon Oyekola once again appreciated the foremost traditional ruler for his fatherly and royal blessings and services to humanity, particularly when he was physically present at the foundation laying ceremony for classrooms facilitated by Hon. Oyekola at Oba Akeem Owoade High School, Elegbo Community, Oyo.
