Ex-Communication Minister, Adebayo Shittu condoles family, Oyo APC over Omodewu’s death
The Chairman, Governing Council, Dave Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences (DUFUHS), Uburu, Ebonyi State, Barrister Adebayo Abdur. Raheem Shittu, has condoled the immediate family of the late Oyo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu.
Omodewu, died in the late hours of Sunday in the United States of America where he had been receiving treatment for an illness since November 2023.
Shittu, in a release on Tuesday through his Media Office, described the sudden demise of the state Chairman of the party as shocking and unexpected.
The one-time Minister said the passage was a huge loss not just to the Otu Community and Oyo State but to the nation at large.
The statement read, “No doubt, his sudden passage has created a vacuum in the political landscape of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
“I condole with his wife and children as well as our great party, the All Progressives Congress, APC family, and the people of Otu in Itesiwaju local government area of Oyo State.
“As a family, we understand the sudden enigmatic demise of the leader has left a void in our hearts, that of his friends, associates, supporters, and political loyalists. It is in light of this that we seek patience and fortitude, importantly, your prayers, as we jointly pray for the repose of the soul of late Omodewu.
“His passion for public service and his unwavering determination to make a difference will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and may his legacy continue to inspire us all to strive for a better tomorrow.”
