Deputy Speaker appoints LGI Operations Officer, Mustapha Hadi, Legislative Assistant
An Operations Officer with the Lead Generation Initiative (LGI) and dedicated member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mustapha Aminu Hadi, has been appointed a Legislative Assistant to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu.
Hadi, a political protege of the Ayedero of Yorubaland and former member of House of Representatives, Hon. Shina Peller, has a strong background in youth leadership and political engagement, having contested for the position of the North East Zonal Youth Leader during the last APC national convention.
Prior to his appointment, Mustapha played a significant role at the Lead Generation Initiative (LGI), a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit organization founded by Hon. Peller, where he served as the Zonal Coordinator for North Eastern Nigeria.
LGI which is dedicated to fostering youth participation in governance, social inclusion and the democratic process across the country, has trained more than 100,000 young Nigerians across the six geo-political zones of the country on leadership, good governance, strategic communication skills, civic engagement and active citizenship.
Hadi while serving as a Zonal Coordinator for the played a pivotal role in making the trainings successful.
He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Modibbo Adama University, Yola and with his new role is expected to further enhance his contributions to the legislative process and youth development in Nigeria.
As Mustapha Hadi embarks on this new chapter of public service, his appointment stands as a beacon of hope for the youth of Nigeria, signalling a promising future marked by sustained advocacy, progressive governance and vibrant civic engagement.
