Christian journalists hold retreat in Ibadan Saturday
Prominent men of God will on Saturday converge in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, as Christian journalists in the state hold a one-day retreat.
A release by Brother Adeola Badru, said the retreat with the theme, “The Role of Christian Journalists In Ensuring Peaceful National Co-Existence”, will hold at the Government House Chapel, Agodi-Gate, Ibadan.
According to him, discussants at the retreat will include the Executive Director, Media Centre Development, Mr. ‘Lekan Otufodunrin; Deputy Director, Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Rev. Niyi Dahunsi; former National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Pastor Lanre Ogundipe and Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State Chapter, Apostle Joshua Sola Akinyemiju (JP).
Badru stated further that the Special Guest of Honour would be the Executive Assistant to the Oyo State Governor, Rev. Idowu Ogedengbe.
“Others are the immediate-past CAN Chairman, Oyo State Chapter and Regional Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Ogunbanjo Regional Headquarters, Ondo State, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, as the Guest Minister; Chaplain, Government House Chapel, Pastor Layi Adisa; Deputy Chaplain, Government House Chapel, Pastor Emmanuel Akanmu while the Chief Host is Brother ‘Lekan Sobowale”, he said.
The statement however urged Christian journalists in the state to be in attendance as the retreat will feature breakthrough, salvation, deliverance, healing and many more.
