Breaking : 16 freed from kidnappers den in Kwara

Five residents of Idofin-Odo-Ase in Oke Ero local government area of Kwara State, were on Thursday freed from kidnappers den by local hunters.

The five were said to have been freed alongside other 11 hostages.

It was learnt that the five victims an Olori Ode in one of the communities in the town, wife and child and another couple were kidnapped on Saturday while returning from a ceremony.

A source who confirmed the development said the head hunter of the state head hunter of the state mobilised his men in pursuit of the kidnappers since Monday and eventually secured their release from the kidnappers den.

According to him, “The victims and 11 other hostages met in the kidnappers den were freed by the local hunters after giving the kidnappers hot chase. While the kidnappers ran away the joy is that the hostages were freed unhurt.”
