APC vows to win Oyo in 2027
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to recapture Oyo State in 2027.
This was the unanimous resolution of the party after a meeting of the 10 Oke Ogun local government stakeholders of the party, held on Tuesday, at the Ado Awaye residence of Oyo State APC leader and former Deputy Governor, Chief Iyiola Oladokun.
The party said come 2027,it was confident to win Oyo State and bring even development to the entire without discrimination.
The party alleged the neglect of the entire Oke Ogun area by Governor Seyi Makinde, lamenting that his developmental programmes were lopsided.
It further alleged that good motorable roads in the state capital have been been reoverlaid with thick asphaltic concrete while deplorable roads across the ten local governments of Oke Ogun are abandoned.
The APC claimed to have won the last local government election in Oyo State but was rigged out by Governor Makinde.
It also called for fairness and justice as well as power rotation in future elections, lamenting that Oke Ogun people are tired of playing second fiddle.
Present at the meeting include former Deputy Governors, Chief Moses Alake, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan; former Minister of Communication, Barrister Abdulraman Adebayo Shittu; former Head of Service Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan; serving and past legislators; former commissioners; former council chairmen; former and present public office holders and party leaders.
