Alloy Obi felicitates Oba Owoade as 46th Alaafin

The Onyendu Ndigbo of Ibadanland and Oyo State, High Chief Alloy Obi, has congratulated the 46th Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, on his coronation and presentation of the staff of office by the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

Obi in a congratulatory message he personally signed, acknowledged the significance of the coronation and staff of office which represents the pinnacle of traditional leadership and cultural heritage in Yorubaland.

He commended the people of Oyo Kingdom for the success of the programme, praying for wisdom as well as a long and fruitful reign for the first class monarch.

According to him, “I send warmest felicitations to His Imperial Majesty, the new Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, on his ascension to the revered throne of his forefathers.

“This significant milestone marks a new chapter in the rich cultural heritage of the Oyo Kingdom, and I am honoured to recognize the esteemed position of Alaafin as a custodian of Yoruba traditions and values.

“I have no doubt that the Alaafin has the creativity, capacity, capability, and commitment to transform the lives of his people and move Oyo town forward.

“I wish Oba Owoade good health, wisdom, and God’s guidance as he embarks on this noble journey.”

Obi then pledged his loyalty and support and that of the entire Igbo residents in Oyo town and all over Oyo State to the new Alaafin of Oyo, stating that as the leader of the Igbo in Ibadanland and Oyo State, he would ensure that the first class monarch receives the necessary support at all times.
