A void has been created : 2023 Deputy Governorship Candidate, David Okunlola consoles Oyo APC

The Deputy Governorship Candidate to Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin in the 2023 gubernatorial election, Dr. David Okunlola has reacted to the sudden demise of the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Isaac Omodewu.

Omodewu’s death was announced on Monday by the state Public Relations Officer of the party, Alhaji Olawale Sadare.

Omodewu, according to Sadare, passed away in the United States of America.

Okunola in his reaction, expressed great shock and disbelief, most especially, considering the fact that the late Chairman of the party is been expected back in Nigeria this September.

He pointed out that the sudden death of Omodewu has created a void which will be very difficult to fill.

” I am in shock and unable to come to terms with this sad news. His passing is a big blow to Oke Ogun, Oyo APC and the nation. I commiserate with his immediate family, the sons and daughters of Oke Ogun and the APC family.

” The late Chairman was a man of courage, discipline and commitment. May God Almighty grant all of us the fortitude to bear this great loss”, he stated.
