Power Minister, Adelabu celebrates Adeyemi on appointment as House Committee Chairman on South West Development Commission
Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has congratulated Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, on his appointment as the House of Representatives Committee Chairman on the South West Development Commission, describing the appointment as well-deserved and a testament to his unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and tireless commitment to the progress and development of Oyo State, the South West region and Nigeria as a whole.
Adelabu said the appointment is not only a personal triumph but also a significant milestone for the people, “ you represent and the nation at large”.
A statement by Bolaji Tunji, the Special Adviser, Strategic Communications and Media Relations quoted the Minister as saying that Adeyemi’s journey at the National Assembly has been marked by a consistent display of excellence, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility toward the welfare of his constituents.
“Over the years, you have distinguished yourself as a dynamic and forward-thinking leader, one who is deeply rooted in the values of service, equity, and sustainable development. Your passion for empowering communities, fostering economic growth, and promoting infrastructural development has earned you the trust and admiration of many. This appointment is a fitting recognition of your contributions and a call to greater service”, Adelabu said.
The Minister described the appointment as a huge responsibility that would shape the future of the region and reestablish the South West region as a developmental role model as it was in the first republic.
“As the House Committee Chairman on South West Development Commission, you are entrusted with a pivotal role in shaping the future of the South West region. This commission is a beacon of hope for the people, as it seeks to address the unique challenges and opportunities within the region, ranging from infrastructure deficits to economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. Your leadership comes at a critical time when the South West is poised for transformative growth, and your vision, expertise, and collaborative spirit will undoubtedly steer the commission toward achieving these lofty goals”.
Adelabu also said Hon Adeyemi’s appointment is a reflection of the confidence that his colleagues and the leadership of the House of Representatives have in his ability to deliver results.
