CCII honours Engineer Femi Alao with Award of Excellence 

In recognition of his contributions to societal development most especially Ibadanland, a distinguished indigene of Kishi, in Oke-Ogun area, Oyo State, Engineer Femi Alao, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).

 

The prestigious event held at Aweni Arena, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, attracted prominent figures, including political leaders, captains of industry, and royal fathers.

 

The President-General of CCII, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, who highlighted that Engineer Alao was honoured for his significant contributions to the progress of Ibadanland, praised his integrity, generosity, and dedication, which he noted have left lasting impacts on both human and infrastructural development in the city.

 

The Chairman of the 2025 Ibadan Cultural Festival, Alhaj Abiola Alli, also noted that despite being a native of Kishi, Alao has consistently contributed to the advancement of Ibadanland, emphasizing that the recognition by CCII extends beyond Ibadan indigenes, as the Council celebrates all individuals whose efforts promote the growth of Ibadanland.

 

Engineer Alao, in his remarks, expressed profound gratitude to CCII for the honour, pledging to continue to support initiatives that promote development and unity in Ibadan.

 

He acknowledged his wife for her unwavering support, describing her as a pillar of strength.

 

Notable figures that include Chairman of Solutions FM; Oloye Taofeek Adegboyega; former Chairman, Oluyole Local Government, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye; a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Lowo Obisesan, and Hon. Gbenga Olayemi, praised Alao’s integrity, generosity, and exemplary character, urging him to remain steadfast in his efforts toward community development.

 

The event was graced by prominent traditional rulers, including the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola; the Oloje of Oje-Owode; and the Onimia of Imia.

 

Also present were Kishi and Oke-Ogun leaders, including APC chieftain Hon. Dele Akinleye, and members of Oke-Ogun Progressive Ex-Parliamentarians led by Hon. Amusat Ogunsola
