Oyo governorship hopeful, Olaoluwa chairs Fiditi Day celebrations, donates N10m
It was indeed a day of excitement and joy for the Onifiditi of Fiditi, Oba Shakiru Oyewole, Gbadewolu 1, the Chiefs, and entire indigenes of Fiditi as they all gathered to celebrate 2024 Fiditi Day in style.
The atmosphere was colourful and attractive as dignitaries from all walks of life gather to celebrate with the monarch.
The high point of the event was the donation of a whooping sum of N10 million to the town by a governorship hopeful, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi popularly called OPA who was the Chairman at the event.
The joy of the people knows no bound as they were all full of praises and prayer for the philanthropic gesture of Olaoluwa.
In his address at the event, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi stated that politics should no longer be left to the dregs of the society in order to ensure good governance.
He also announced his intention to vie for the position of the governor of Oyo State, calling on all and sundry to support his aspiration.
He added that with the little he had achieved through Peter Olaoluwa Foundation (P.O.F), having a bigger platform will help to reach more people across the state.
Also, the Onifiditi of Fiditi urged indigenes of the town to always give priority to the land of their birth, which is Fiditi.
He also assured Olaoluwa of the support of the entire indigenes and residents of Fiditi for his aspiration.
Present at the event included wife of the governorship hopeful, Dr. (Mrs.) Olaoluwa; immediate past President, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Prince Yemisi Adeaga; Asiwaju Musulumi of Afijio, Alhaji Wasiu Alli; popular Ibadan-based cleric, Prophet Samuel Shittu and the Iyaloja of Fiditi, Alhaja (Dr.) Jemilat Apeke Adekunle, among others.
