81st birthday : Alli hails Olubadan’s contributions to Ibadanland

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC- Oyo South), has lauded the contributions of Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Olalekan Balogun, to the growth and development of Ibadanland as he clocks 81.

This is contained in a statement on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, made available to journalists.

Alli, the Maye-Balogun of Ibadanland, described the traditional ruler as a great leader who has worked tirelessly to ensure that Ibadan community remained a force to be reckoned with in Nigeria.

The lawmaker commended the monarch for his efforts in promoting peace, unity, and progress in Ibadan, stating that his leadership has been a source of inspiration to many.

He said the traditional ruler has set a remarkable standard for other traditional rulers in the country to follow, calling on Nigerians to emulate the exemplary life of the monarch in their daily dealings.

The lawmaker prayed that God would bless Oba Balogun with more years of good health and wisdom.

He felicitated with the traditional ruler on his birthday, expressing hope that he would continue to steer the ship of Ibadanland towards greatness and prosperity.

Alli then urged all Ibadan indigenes to support the monarch in his efforts to ensure that the city remained  prosperous and peaceful.
